I started learning with Tanya in my freshman year all throughout my junior year. She has taught me in subjects like biology, chemistry, and calculus… as well as SAT… She has been an outstanding tutor and really targeted my weaknesses. Her approach was unique and she taught me tricks to help me understand the concepts instead of just memorizing them and she really used my study guides and made resources of her own to help me practice the material as much as I can before the test. She was really flexible with me and answered all my questions well which really helped build my foundation in these courses which has allowed me to succeed to this date and will in the future. She was really nice and I was comfortable learning with her. Overall it was a great experience and I am sure it has not only helped me but other students as well.

Ms. Tanya has helped me a lot these past few months. Around December of 2023, I was struggling with biology and Algebra II and needed some extra help to help me understand the topics better. I really enjoyed Ms. Tanya’s teaching style because it helped me understand the concept in a way I didn’t before. She would teach me the topic in detail to make sure I understood it and then, she would ask me some questions about what we just learned to see what I was remembering and what I needed more help on. She is also very kind when helping me. If I need some help, she is very open to helping me immediately. These extra classes helped my grade a lot, considering that I went from a B in biology to an A. Now, thanks to the extra help, I am more confident in tests and quizzes and I am doing really well in them.

Working with Tanya was an incredible experience that significantly helped my SAT journey. My experience with Tanya starts from 2019. She’s been an exceptional tutor and overall mentor for me when it came to navigating my academics and school. As a confused middle schooler on the verge of evolving into a high schooler, I had so many questions from picking my classes to the difference between honors APs and DE classes to simply how my GPA is calculated. At first, in my 7th and 8th grade, she tutored me in accelerated algebra 2 and geometry and in 9th grade we transitioned to honors chemistry and accelerated precalc. Overall, I felt her teaching style and approach was unique and really helped me understand the concepts instead of telling me to brute force memorize. She would answer any questions I had and really go into detail to defend her points. At the end of the day, I truly believe Tanya established a strong foundation for me that allowed me to take and succeed in higher level courses.
